Certification & Awards

O-I BJC Glass Malaysia has always taken an uncompromising position in respect to quality. To-date, we have complied with our customer requirements through our broad range of quality management system standards, Organization for Standardization (ISO 9001) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP). We are in the midst of applying for Food Safety System Certification (FSCC) 22000, which will be updated at a later date.

ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System

ISO 9001 is a quality management system standards designed to help our organization ensure that customers and stakeholders needs are met while, at the same time, meeting statutory and regulatory requirements related to our products. In addition to these statutory and regulatory requirements, we have a documented policy, a Quality Manual, to ensure effective operation.

In year 2005, we were awarded the ISO 9001:2008 certification by IQNet and SIRIM QAS International. To ensure that the system quality is working and with the need for continual improvements, an annual review is carried out by a third party audit organization prior to its renewal of certificate.



Hazard Analysis And Critical Control Points (HACCP)

HACCP is a systematic preventive approach to food safety from biological, chemical and physical hazards during production processes. The system assured our regulatory authorities and our customers that we are taking every reasonable precaution to assure food safety.

In year 2006, we were awarded the HACCP certification by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance Ltd for manufacture of glass containers for food and beverage.

With the serious view on the importance of food safety, a half yearly review had been arranged with third party audit organization for continual improvements.
